Dr. Melissa Reed is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at West Chester University in West Chester, PA. She obtained her B.S. in Exercise Science from East Stroudsburg University and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Exercise Science and Bioenergetics from East Carolina University. Dr. Reed is an ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist℠ and holds the Exercise is Medicine® Credential Level III.
Her research interests include the role of exercise in preventing and treating metabolic disease as well as examining and implementing interdisciplinary models of fall prevention in the senior population. Dr. Reed has served as a site visitor for the CoAES since 2012. She has served on the MARC Executive Board as a Member-At-Large and has served on the MARC Research Committee.
