- To disseminate information regarding exercise and physical
activity in public health and at-risk populations.
- To present current basic and applied research initiatives.
- To discuss career development and employment opportunities
for students and professionals.

has applied for 13 CECs and we are waiting confirmation
from national headquarters. Once the correct number of CECs has
been confirmed, we will note that on the this website as well.

WANT TO SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT FOR PRESENTATION AT THE 2007
MEETING?
All members of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Chapter, as well as
non-members, are invited to submit abstracts of studies for
presentation in free communications or poster sessions. All
abstracts submitted will be accepted for either a poster or a
slide presentation (view rules
for PowerPoint presentations here and
instructions for Poster presentations here). In addition, all abstracts
submitted by student members will be eligible for the MARC Student
Investigator Award. Remember that it is now permissible to present
the same abstract at both regional chapter meetings and at the
national meeting. You can download information about how to submit

here. All abstracts must be
received by October 5, 2007.
Professionals are permitted AND encouraged to present in the
free communications or poster sessions.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE WYNDHAM HARRISBURG -
HERSHEY
Centrally located and within minutes of downtown Harrisburg,
Harrisburg International Airport, and beautiful Hershey,
Pennsylvania, home of HERSHEYPARKŪ. Wyndham

Harrisburg is home to the state capitol, the National Civil War
Museum and the Harrisburg Senator's AA Baseball Team.

presentations to guarantee a deep, refreshing goodnight's sleep.

mention that you are attending the MARC meeting. Remember to reserve early because only a
limited number of rooms are held at the conference rate.
